They presented the King with reports on the achievements of both councils and the topics they discussed during the second legislative term.

King Hamad commended the legislative authority's efforts and the role played by both councils in reinforcing the parliamentary process and democratic practices through constant follow-up on public issues.

He also took pride in citizens' laudable stances, bonds of love, brotherhood as well as cohesion and patriotism, calling for benefiting from co-operation between the legislative and executive authorities to provide more services for citizens.

King Hamad said he was looking forward to the next session to be crammed with achievements for the benefit of the citizens and national economy.

He praised the reports and stressed further interaction between both councils and parliaments in Arab and friendly states to strengthen Bahrain's ties with them.

The reports contained the discussed draft laws, proposals, the questions posed to ministers, state budgets and final accounts, temporary and permanent committees, political statements, conferences, visits and joint activities of both councils.
